What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Security Officer position at AmeriGuard Security?
Here at AmeriGuard Security we are looking for Armed Security Officer. This position is responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility’s security measures. Their duties include reviewing video surveillance equipment to identify odd behaviors, patrolling the interior and exterior of a property in set intervals and only providing property access to authorized individuals.

AmeriGuard Security, Inc. will be sponsoring a 120-hour Armed Security Training Course necessary to work on a SSA Government Armed Security Contract. The Security Training will be provided by and at The Training Point, Inc. In Laurel Maryland.
120-Hour training classes at The Training Point in Laurel MD at 154 Lafayette Ave Laurel MD 20707. Schedule for all classes are below.
Applicant Qualification Process will start at 0900 hrs. on the first day of the scheduled security training scheduled course see the general qualifications and documentation necessary to bring on the first day.
General requirements to be eligible:
- Be a United States citizen;
- Have either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma from within the United States
- Two years of security experience or two years of Military experience or Law enforcement or Associates degree in Criminal Justice a must
- Armed Forces, National Guard or Reserve service.
- Must have Maryland Security Guard Certification Card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting (AmeriGuard will Sponsor)
- Must have Maryland Permit to carry a Handgun Card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting (AmeriGuard will Sponsor)
- Must be able to pass Government background and receive a clearance MBI
- Must be able to pass a physical and a drug screen, Vo2 max, hearing, vision
- Must be able to pass A-9 qualification course (Must be with a 9mm AmeriGuard will provide).
- QUALIFIED APPLICANTS must attend all 120-hours of the Security Training provided by the contractor (AmeriGuard Security) to be eligible to work on this SSA Government Contract (pre-employment training will be paid if qualified and meet all requirements at minimum wages.

- $33.00 Per Hour and $0.50 Per Hour for shift differential.
