HBI Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking skilled and experienced ITS Computer Tech to join our team.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
- This is not a remote position.
The Computer Tech position serves as the initial support contact for internal staff issues related to computers and computer technologies. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, resolving, or escalating problems, and documenting all actions taken. The role involves utilizing various resources, such as co-workers, support teams, and knowledgebases to resolve technical issues. Additionally, the Computer Tech must explain concepts clearly to a diverse customer base and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide superior customer service, taking ownership of problems, and bringing forward solutions.
- First line troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, including providing end-user training and technical assistance.
- Monitoring, installation, and maintenance of IT assets, including workstations, printers, and conference room hardware, as well as installation, configuration, and support of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other software applications.
- Developing and maintaining documentation related to job responsibilities, tracking technology assets, IT inventory levels, and records of acquisition dates, warranties, physical locations, and repair histories.
- Establishing stakeholder and team relationships using effective communication and collaboration skills. Update and complete tickets in a timely manner and elevate tickets to the next level when needed.
- Keeping up with the latest developments in technology and the manufacturing industries is emphasized.
- Providing research, testing, and administrative support for IT projects.

- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:
Education / Experience / Certifications:
- 2-year degree or equivalent experience in a computer technician field (Required)
- Excellent customer service, communication, and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with help desk and call center software, as well as remote desktop and Active Directory, is preferred.

- Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
