We’re looking for an experienced Manager, HR Operations to lead our HR operations team at AmeriLife. You will partner cross-functionally with other areas of HR (HRBPs, Total Rewards, HRIS, and Talent Development) to refine our HR data and processes for efficiency. This role requires a blend of oversight and hands-on management across various HR disciplines, including employee lifecycle operations management, M&A due diligence, and HRBP support.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop the HR Operations team aligned while ensuring engagement and providing guidance on day-to-day responsibilities and act as an escalation point for complex inquiries.
- Own HR Operations while driving operational excellence through effective collaboration, robust data analysis and optimal process design, with an eye towards continuous improvement and automation
- Manage and enhance HR Operation programs inclusive of onboarding, offboarding, data processing and reporting.
- Lead HR aspects of M&A due diligence, integration, and onboarding.
- Act as a liaison between HRBPs and HR functional teams to translate business needs into operational solutions.
- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations delivery methods and procedures.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and train the HRBP and HR Operations team on HR practices and system processes.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws in all employee related practices including FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, EEO, ADA, CFRA, PDL and other federal and state employment laws.
- Manage highly confidential information of employees and M&A activity at all levels within the organization.
- Deliver metrics, measurements and data insights to internal and external partners to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Lead other projects / activities as requested and participates in other cross-functional projects in representation of the HR Operations team.
- Manages vendor relationships and ensures quality of services and support.
- Tracks and reports on significant human capital actions such as staffing, retention, attrition, and other vital metrics.
Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, management, business (or a related field)
- 7 years of HR operations and/or HR Business Partner experience.
- Proven HR Leadership experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Hands on experience with HRIS – Workday experience is necessary.
- Experience in HR Operations in multi-state/nationwide company.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.)
- Effective communication skills and ability to work at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of and ability to grow and deliver new HR processes where needed including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, M&A, and other various milestones in employee lifecycle.
- Highly skilled at process improvement, project management and data.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
- Is energized by a fast-paced, high growth environment and demonstrate ability to think on your feet and pivot quickly.
