Job Description
Convenience store is seeking a Cashier who possesses a friendly demeanor and strong customer service abilities. The candidate must be available to work weekends and night shifts. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, collaborating effectively with colleagues, managing cash transactions and operating the cash register, lifting weights between 30 to 40 pounds, and ensuring the cleanliness of restrooms and overall facility maintenance. Successful applicants must also pass a drug test and a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions involving cash, credit cards, or checks while interacting with customers.
- Utilize scanning equipment to register items and process payments accurately.
- Verify that pricing is accurate for all items being sold to prevent discrepancies.
- Provide customers with change, receipts, refunds, or tickets as necessary during transactions.
- Accept and process stamps and coupons as part of customer transactions.
- Conduct a thorough count of cash in drawers at the start and conclusion of each shift to confirm accuracy and ensure sufficient change is available.
- Promote additional products through sales referrals, cross-selling, and introducing new items to customers.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively, offering guidance and pertinent information as needed.
- Carefully package items in bags to ensure safe transport for customers.
- Welcome customers upon their arrival and bid farewell as they leave the establishment, maintaining a friendly atmosphere.

- Process returns and inspect items for any damage before finalizing the return.
