Job Summary:
AmeriPharma is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Dietician to join our team specializing in Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) therapy. As a Registered Dietitian at AmeriPharma, you will be responsible for developing TPN formulas for patients new to TPN therapy and modifying existing TPN formulas in collaboration with our clinical Home Infusion Pharmacist staff. This is an in-office position, focusing on providing support and expertise to our pharmacy team.

Duties and Responsibilities
- TPN Formula Development: Create and customize TPN formulas for patients who are new to TPN therapy, ensuring that each formula meets the unique nutritional requirements of the patient.
- Modification of Existing TPN Formulas: Work closely with clinical Home Infusion Pharmacist staff to modify and adjust TPN formulas for existing patients based on their ongoing clinical assessments and changes in their condition.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within the office to ensure seamless patient care and optimal nutritional support.
- Patient Education: Provide education and guidance to pharmacists and support staff on TPN therapy, ensuring accurate communication to patients regarding their nutritional care.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities related to TPN therapy to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including TPN orders, modifications, and clinical notes.
Required Skilled Qualifications/Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. Must be a Registered Dietician (RD) with current licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Dietician.
- Strong understanding of TPN therapy, including formula development and modification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate staff.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient caseload from the office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with TPN therapy in a home infusion setting.
- Familiarity with clinical guidelines and standards for TPN therapy.
