Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Biller at AmeriPharma, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate billing of pharmacy services. This includes interactions with third-party payers and patients, as well as maintaining precise and up-to-date records.
Schedule Details:
- On-Site (Laguna Hills, CA - Office borders Irvine)
- Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update and rebill National Drug Codes (NDC)
- Contact insurance companies for claim rejections and overrides
- Create and follow up on prior authorization requests
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance issues
- Collect copays
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail or independent pharmacy
- 2-3 years of experience in billing Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM)
- Strong ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex issues
- Skilled in managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with peers, business partners, compliance professionals, and other third parties
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and remain flexible
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills and Education:
- Licensed/registered pharmacy technician
