What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Service Coordinator position at Ameriprise Financial Inc?
Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced and friendly financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily business operations.
This position completes tasks which allow the advisors to focus more time and energy on client acquisition and deepening client relationships. The Client Service Coordinator supports the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of the practice. This position allows the advisors the assurance they need to know that their practice is being maintained and supported within Ameriprise Financial guidelines.
Position Functions:
Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendar
Answering phones and assisting with client requests
Meeting preparation
Conference room setup and cleanup
Scheduling Microsoft Teams meetings for conference calls
Greeting clients upon arrival and getting them situated in conference rooms
New client setup
Sending client appreciation gifts and cards
Tracking and updating client referral list
Tracking office supplies inventory and ordering supplies when needed
Scanning and uploading documents
Making reservations at restaurants and hotels for advisors, on an as needed basis
Setting up new business and submitting account forms
Preparing miscellaneous client forms
Preparing correspondence for advisor signature
Checking mail and updating mail log
Communicating with home office regarding outstanding paperwork requirements, general questions, etc.
Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets containing client information, meeting agenda items, etc.
Documenting client contact/calls and task completion in customer relationship management system
Organizing client files and performing other business management tasks as needed
Completing required trainings on a continual basis
Responding to ad hoc requests and completing projects, as assigned
Assisting the paraplanner(s), associate financial advisor(s) and advisor(s)
Performing other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor(s)

Education and Other Designations:
College degree or higher
2 years of administrative experience
Hourly wage: $26 per hour
