Overview
Administrative Assistant: Financial Planning Practice
Will support the operations of a Financial Planning practice with Ameriprise Financial that focuses on helping individuals and families in the Washington DC area. The Administrative assistant provides the Financial Advisor the assurance needed to know the practice is being supported while the owner focuses on growing the practice. You will contribute to many different areas, including:
- Scheduling meetings
- Meeting preparation/preparing agendas
- Client gifts – “wowing” clients with unexpected greeting cards and gifts on behalf of the practice, etc.
- Client care – answering calls, responding to needs when appropriate
- Ad Hoc tasks as needed
Key Traits of a Successful Administrative Assistant:
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel as well as CRM and scheduling software.
- Direct attention to detail and organization
- Effective communication with clients and other team members
- Effective and efficient time management
- Polite and clear phone manner
- Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor and Ameriprise
- Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance within the advisor’s practice
- Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
