Position Overview
We are seeking experienced a Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team and assist with complex individual and/or business income tax returns during tax season. Key Details
- Season: February to mid-April (with potential for additional hours outside of tax season)
- Schedule: Flexible, with a minimum of 20 hours per week during tax season. Business tax preparation begins mid-January; individual tax preparation begins mid-February.
- Locations: Offices in Inverness, FL
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or Business
- 3 years of experience preparing individual (1040) federal and state tax returns
- Proficiency in preparing returns with Schedules A, B, C, D, E, F, and other related schedules
- Experience with business and estate tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041)
- Familiarity with tax software and accounting tools
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, depreciation, fixed assets, and tax law updates

- Effective written and verbal communication
- Customer service-oriented and able to handle client inquiries professionally
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or review individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns
- Prepare all required schedules, work papers, and calculations
- Provide tax projections and estimated tax calculations
- Interact directly with clients to address inquiries and provide exceptional service
