What are the responsibilities and job description for the AmeriQual ADC - QA End Item Tech position at AmeriQual Foods?
The QA End Item Tech is a position that helps to monitor and maintain factory production while focusing on process product analysis to ensure that the product being produced at any given moment meets or exceeds internal, customer, and regulatory specifications.
Duties and responsibilities
- Able to pass monthly pouch/tray inspection training
- Collect proper quality paperwork/folders for visual/end item inspection
- Collect samples from various locations for visual inspection, laboratory testing, end item residual air/burst testing when applicable.
- Properly complete all necessary paperwork
- Perform various quality-related checks and tests to ensure production is within defined specification
- Communicate non-conforming product, test results or failing pouch defects to management/supervision to ensure that any issues are corrected as quickly as possible
- Communicate with other departments as needed
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization, industry and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent degree
- Knowledge of statistical process control is beneficial
- Strong reasoning, multitasking, and communication skills
- Prior quality assurance or quality control experience is beneficial
- Exceptional attention to detail, general mathematical knowledge, and basic computer literacy
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to sit at a computer for extended periods of time, as well as walk frequently. Bending and squatting may also be required. The associate is frequently required to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must also have the ability to distinguish color codes on packaging materials. Operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required of up to full shifts in 40-degree refrigeration. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits, and other allergens are present.
