Now is your chance to join an organization where WHAT YOU DO MATTERS! AmeriQual Foods, LLC a food manufacturing facility, is seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented individual to assume responsibilities as a QA Technician.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accomplish quality assurance objectives by performing various quality related checks and tests to ensure production is within specification
- Assist in achieving operational objectives by communicating test results and/or findings with management / supervision to ensure that any issues are corrected as quickly as possible
- Ensure nonconforming product is visually identified, logged, and communicated with relevant team members
- Maintain equipment by keeping units operational and within calibration on a daily basis
- Assure product meets organoleptic standards by performing sensory panels involving taste, smell, and appearance on a regular basis
- Collect samples from various locations for laboratory analysis, retention, and incubation. Associates are also responsible for ensuring the aforementioned sample programs are maintained daily
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization, industry, and regulatory standards
- Contribute to company efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail, general mathematical knowledge, and basic computer literacy.
- High school or equivalent degree
- Knowledge of statistical process control is beneficial
- Strong reasoning, multitasking, and communication skills
- Prior experience in quality assurance or quality control is beneficial
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time as well as walk and climb stairs frequently. The associate may occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Bending and squatting may also be required. The associate is frequently required to use arms to reach out and use hands to grasp objects and/or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, and see a complete range of color. Associates are also required to have an average ability to taste and smell.
