What are the responsibilities and job description for the AmeriQual Packaging QA Technician position at AmeriQual Group?
Job purpose
The QA Tech performs in-process quality inspections to identify potential problems and to ensure procedural compliance. The Tech reviews and audits the data from the quality inspections to inform Production Supervisors of anything that is out of spec. The QA Tech helps improve overall production by addressing problems as they occur.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform daily start-up checks and sanitation inspections
- Collect quality testing samples, perform quality analyses, and maintain inspection documents in a timely manner
- Understands production coding and operations, and proper collection and recording of data
- Utilizes Redzone program to analyze data and identify potential problems
- This means using a ipad for data entry
- Communicates problems with QA and Production Supervisors immediately Follows PHC and GMP regulations
Qualifications
- HS Diploma required
- Computer knowledge and calculator proficiency needed
- Ability to work independently is necessary
- Demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced environment
- Possess good reading, writing, and data record keeping skills
- Previous quality assurance or inventory control experience a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing plant preferred, but not necessary.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Bending and squatting may also be required. Move around facility by means of stairs. The associate is frequently required to lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
