What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Operating Tech 1 - 2nd Shift position at AmeriQual Group?
Operator objective is to understand the setting up and running of the machine at a level to optimize and reach daily production goals.
Duties and responsibilities
- S et up the machine and work area for operation. This includes making sure area is clean.
- Watch machine and check gages to ensure everything is in proper working order.
- Notify proper departments of defective components and materials; provide mechanical trouble shooting assistance to maintenance personnel.
- Provide operational improvement assistance to production supervisors.
- Understand and adhere to GMPs. Complete necessary paperwork.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Prior machine operation experience with same or similar equipment.
- Ability to make judgment calls
- Understand basic mechanical and operational principals.
- General knowledge of reading and writing.
- Must possess verbal skills to allow communication with peers, mechanics and supervisors. Must be able to operate a roll stock lift.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the associate must be able to lift up to 50lb; standing, stooping and reaching for long periods of time and good manual dexterity.
