Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all building systems function properly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Repair and replace defective parts, fixtures, and equipment in residential and commercial buildings.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants, property managers, or building owners.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Perform carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and general upkeep of interior and exterior spaces.
- Maintain and repair doors, windows, locks, and security systems as needed.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
- Handle emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, building maintenance worker, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform manual labor as needed.
- Availability for on-call shifts, including weekends and emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVAC Certification, EPA Universal Certification, or OSHA 10/30 Certification.
- Experience in both residential and commercial building maintenance.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
