We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of route driving, along with the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or van to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience in route driving or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience in moving, warehouse operations, or as a delivery driver/courier is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
