The Paralegal is responsible for supporting the legal department staff and assisting in management of the resources of the legal department, which includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the management of corporate, contract and litigation matters. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities :
- Drafting, filing and managing various corporate business entity documents and records
- Assist with preparation and management of legal contracts
- Renew and maintain company licensing and registrations with applicable state agencies
- Drafting legal contracts, correspondence and other documents
- Assist with paperwork needed by regulatory bodies
- Provide general support related to litigation matters
- Perform legal research
- Communicate with outside parties (both hostile and friendly) regarding legal activitieLiaise with other departments regarding the completion of legal department tasks
- Provide guidance to other departments regarding legal issues, as appropriate
- Liaise with other departments regarding the completion of legal department tasks
- Assist legal department staff with any other tasks / issues that arise
