The Senior Business Intelligence Data Architect is primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of shared datasets within Power BI. The role will focus on making data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other systems available for consumption in reports & for self-service users. Other functions will include mentoring other team members, identifying relevant data for inclusion in the data warehouse, and furthering the development of a data-driven culture within the Bank. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities :
- Develops Shared Data Models from the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Assists with migrating from other reporting platforms, including SSAS & Business Objects, by making the data available in Power BI.
- Creating Prototype Data Solutions to help validate user requests & shape Data Warehouse requirements.
- Investigating & analyzing data sources to identify relevant information for inclusion in our data solutions.
- Assists with creating requirements & user-stories to bring additional data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation and standards documents to ensure consistency, promote best practices, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the Enterprise Data Team and wider organization.
- Manage and administer Power BI Premium Capacities.
- Performs routine maintenance and performance tuning as required.
- May assist with creating various reports, including exploratory and explanatory analysis packages.
- Provides production support as needed.
- Will knowledge share and mentor other members of the team & bank.
