Summary Objective
Assist in administering the operations of the Transaction Services Department to ensure quality and timely workmanship is provided in an effective manner. Supervise the central records desk procedures, update documentation as needed. Assist with the Retention Policy and procedures as directed. Support Business Services department with remote deposit capture customers inquiries, new installs, limit increases, and annual reviews.

Sedentary work may require occasionally lifting of up to 10 pounds and/or move up to 25 pounds. This work involves sitting most of the time with walking and sitting.

Competencies
High school graduate with some college and/or related training courses, to update knowledge, is necessary. At least three years’ experience in a data center environment, customer service environment, or bank operations is recommended. At least one year of supervisory experience required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.

Essential Functions
- Supervisor all item processing and document imaging functions, along with nightly processing and balancing. Support the department staff with second shift training and written procedures. Exhibit knowledge of departmental operations sufficient to suggest improvements, properly instruct employees in unique situations, and prepare reports on the department’s operations.
- Supervise department staff ensuring item processing batches, ATE files, ACH files, etc. are completed within standards and efficiently completed thus meeting nightly processing schedule requirements.
- Assist with guidance and direction when investigating and resolving exceptions to the nightly item processing data. Research and resolve various customer and teller problems and answer questions using diplomacy and tact.
- Supervise the staff conducting the central records desk procedures. Update procedures as needed, assist in training staff, and support daily tasks to be completed effectively and efficiently.
- Assist the Business Services department the implementation and support of remote deposit capture customers. Assist with annual customer reviews of remote deposit capture service as required by policy. Support Remote Deposit Capture policy when customer requests deposit limit increases and new installations of equipment.
- Assist staff during system technical problems, contact Vendor when problem is directly related to the vendor. Train staff to recognize internal technical problems that can be self-resolved or resolved by internal IT Support staff.
- Participate in evaluating the performance of the department staff and take appropriate action when necessary. Prepare department weekly schedule ensuring all staff are cross trained on various aspects of the department for 1st and 2nd shift. Assist with timecard approvals and vacation schedules.
- Assist in maintaining the procedures manual, ensuring its accuracy and time sensitivity..
- Assist in Disaster Recovery testing, including preparing test packs, updating disaster recovery boxes and traveling to assigned recovery sites.
- Assist in verifying all files and documents scanned through the Document Imaging process.
- Maintain incoming and outgoing files which are currently on DataServ and Commercial Capture. Assist in adding new customers to the Commercial Capture system and maintenance as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
