AmeriSpec Inspection Services is looking to hire Full Time Professional Inspectors.
 
About AmeriSpec: We are a family owned and locally operated company that provides quality inspection services for our clients here in East Texas and Louisiana. We are committed to providing our staff the training, knowledge, and tools needed to be successful in the field while providing the excellent service that our clients demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. This position independently completes home inspections and ancillary services from start to finish. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Attend annual regional AmeriSpec conferences
  • Experience in Remediation, Water Damage, Trades, and/or an allied craft a plus
  • Experience in writing protocols a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Willingness to maintain records and communicate with Marketing Manager and Office Manager about job tasks
  • Willingness to perform onsite educational seminars for real estate agents and other local professionals
  • Willingness to comply with the State of Texas and governing agencies for licenses held
  • Willingness to comply with the State of Louisiana Home Inspector Laws & Regulations and gain licensing in that state
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Assist in marketing efforts as directed by a Marketing Representative
  • Possess good communication skills and good computer skills
  • Develop and maintain alliances with successful area real estate agents
  • Work closely with Owner and/or Senior Inspectors to learn the essentials of Commercial & Home Inspections along with Mold Assessments and Protocols
  • Independently perform home inspections from start to finish
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with little to no supervision. Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or six months to one year experience as an AmeriSpec Associate Inspector; Completion of state requirements by an approved TREC provider; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 
  • Must be TREC licensed and willing to be licensed in the State of Louisiana 
  • Must comply with applicable state licensure requirements and continuing education
  • Must be willing to receive ongoing training and licensing for our ancillary services that we offer

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Travel: This position requires extended periods of travel time, to and from job locations and areas where continuing education may be required.  Inspectors are required to maintain cleanliness of personal vehicles at all times. Fuel expenses will be reimbursed.

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour



AmeriSpec offers the best training in the industry by combining classroom instruction, in-field inspections and hands-on technical training in our state-of-the-art facility, led by instructors with over 30 years of experience.

A replica of a home, as well as a host of training aids such as a roof, water heater, plumbing, electrical panel and appliances are utilized during training. It is specifically designed for AmeriSpec business owners and inspectors and illustrates what to examine when performing a quality home inspection. Parts of the house are fully functional, such as the kitchen and indoor lighting. In addition, used water heaters, furnaces, and air conditioning units are brought into the classroom, giving inspectors the opportunity to examine these important home systems and components.

This innovative facility includes a combustion safety simulator/residential pressure diagnostic tool. This provides AmeriSpec business owners and inspectors with the training needed to make them the best in the industry.
