Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities include:
- Accountable for the adherence and/or enforcement of all written controls and procedures within the casino.
- Monitors slot equipment, support equipment, and programs to ensure proper working order and condition.
- Trains and motivates subordinates to develop a quality work environment.
- Ensures and maintains proper control over slot machines within the guidelines of the Colorado Division of Gaming and Ameristar Casino.
- Able to perform/assist in the duties of the Operations Manager in his/her absence.
- Authorizes jackpot payoffs. Ensures all events such as Overrides, Voids, GPI Intercept, and any other anomaly events are handled in accordance with Colorado Division of Gaming and departmental policies.
- Develops effective channels of communication for the team. Ensures the team is aligned with corporate and company goals.
- Reviews, communicates and ensures all team member training requirements are met as outlined by corporate and human resources.
- Prepares Team Member weekly work schedule as well as for the assigned shift.
- Completes daily and weekly reports as requested.
- Maintains the highest levels and role model managerial expectations (outlined below)
- May assist in the installation and removal of slot machines.
- Coach subordinates in accordance with casino policy/expectations regarding exceptional attitude, teamwork, and guest service as well as opportunities for improvement regarding below standard performance.
- Acts as a liaison between the Slot Team, Slot Tech Team, and all other associated departments such as Security and Casino Services.

- Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Colorado gaming laws and regulations.
- Fully competent in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
- High competence in using various software and technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Must obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License
