Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various pieces of meat processing equipment, including CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, or other meat production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Meat Processing Equipment
- Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications
- Label portion with supplied number product labels
- Set up packing and labeling area as required
- Maintain sanitary conditions following company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Perform end of day functions
Working Environment
The incumbent will work in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F and must have the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer,Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment preferred
- Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products preferred
- Knowledge of USDA grades and standards preferred
Physical Qualifications
The job requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, stooping/squatting, bending, reaching above shoulder, twisting, grasping objects, manipulating objects, and manual dexterity.
