About the Role
Ameristar Meats, LLC is seeking a skilled Meat Processing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various meat processing equipment, including CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives or other meat production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various meat processing equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Count and stack portions on tray per customer and company specifications.
- Label portions with supplied number product labels.
- Set up packing and labeling area as required.
- Perform end of day functions, including cleaning and sanitizing the work area.
- Actively maintain and merchandise partial carts.
- Follow company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain sanitary conditions.
Requirements
- Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products is desired.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with varying temperatures (35°F-45°F).
