Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Equipment Operator to join our team at Ameristar Meats, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various meat processing equipment, including CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives or other meat production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with every weekend off
- Operation of Meat Processing Equipment
- CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives or other meat production equipment
- Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications
- Label portion with supplied number product labels
- Set up packing and labeling area as required
- Perform end of day functions
- Actively maintain and merchandise partial cart
- Keep packing area and cutting room and surrounding area clean and sanitized
- Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products is desired
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment 35°F-45°F.
