This role builds upon foundational responsibilities by independently conducting detailed analyses, refining business requirements, and contributing to process improvements. The Business Analyst II is expected to facilitate Agile practices, including SAFe methodologies, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties
- Lead and support requirements sessions and discussions with stakeholders to elicit, define, and document business and technical requirements for reports, metrics, and analytics.
- Develop clear, concise, and detailed requirements documentation, which includes business requirements, functional specifications, business processes, data mapping, process flows, workflows, procedures, and system controls, ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational standards.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout project lifecycles.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve project challenges or technical issues, providing solutions that meet business needs.
- Actively engage in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, while adhering to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles to support large-scale, cross-functional project goals.
- Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and insurance industry experts to ensure clear communication and understanding of system capabilities.
- Analyze data and troubleshoot issues to improve operations and solve business problems.
- Prepare training materials and conduct training for new or updated systems.
- Ensure that all business processes comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Assists with ongoing operation, maintenance, and support of business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Information Systems) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of professional experience as a business analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL, and Lucidchart, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry or familiarity with insurance applications such as Guidewire.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, especially SAFe, preferred.
