Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks an accomplished Wireless Network Engineer.

Duration: 12 Months Possible Extension

Job qualification:
- 3-4 years of experience in the following:
- Configuration and deployment of the Cisco Catalyst Wireless LAN Controllers and Cisco Wireless Access Points.
- Experience in configuring mobility groups, WLAN profiles, RF Profiles, SSID anchoring, Wireless 802.1x, AAA & Captive Portal.
- Wireless Survey and design using tools like AirMagnet, Ekahau or Hamina.
- Troubleshooting Wireless Client connectivity issues, roaming and able to perform/analyze Wireless PCAP.
- Creating new VLAN, configuring port-channel (LACP), VRRP/HSRP, and Infoblox DHCP/DNS.
- Configuration and management of Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime & Cisco Catalyst Center/DNA Center.
- Basic configuration and troubleshooting on Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switching platform.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and deploy 2 x Cisco 9800-40 Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs).
- Establish Mobility tunnel with the HCA WLCs in collaboration with Cerecore/HCA.
- Create new SSIDs on the HCA WLCs and anchor the data traffic to WLCs in collaboration with Cerecore/HCA.
- Perform Wireless endpoint discovery, plan out the segmentation and migration.
- Identify new Wireless VLANs & IP Subnets, create and test it.
- Collaborate with endpoint/business owners, support them with the endpoint testing and migration along with our Network, Firewall teams and HCA/Cerecore teams.
- Perform Wi-Fi Survey to identify coverage gaps, channel overlap and overall network health.
- Provide the survey reports, project and propose the remediation/optimization plan.
- Refresh ~200 EOL Cisco Wireless Access Points to the latest Cisco AP Hardware.
- Optimize the Wireless RF environment with additional Access Point configuration and deployment in collaboration with IT Facilities and Cabling/Installation Contractors.
- Provide Wireless network operational support for this facility during and after the migration.
- Configure and deploy Cisco Catalyst Wireless Controller in DMZ for Guest traffic anchoring.
- Configure IP Subnets and DHCP Pool in Infoblox.
