Position Description:
The H.R. Business Partner (HRBP) will formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver valued-added service to leadership and associates which reflects the organization's business objectives. Serve as a consultant to leadership on human resource related issues and partner on enhanced people leadership practices to promote performance improvement and organizational change.
This position will be fast-paced and will require operating with a sense of urgency while maintaining a service industry type of focus. This role will require adaptability and an ability to work through ambiguity in situations where opinions and viewpoints differ.
Position Location:
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.
What you do:
- Work with HR Centers of Expertise to ensure consistency across the organization and to effectively launch and communicate new initiatives.
- Ensure consistency in administration of HR policies, procedures, and practices and ensure compliance with all labor and employment laws/regulations.
- Proactively seek new ways to deliver better business results and effectively lead organizational change.
- Work with both leaders and associates to provide guidance on associate relations issues and Ameritas policies to promote and develop a positive associate relations environment that is accountable, consistent, and responsive to leadership and associate needs.
- Strategize and collaborate with leaders in the effective implementation of "people programs" such as recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, inclusion & diversity, performance management, associate relations, and more.
- Provide coaching and support to leaders regarding organizational policies, procedures, and communication of key initiatives to support overall operational effectiveness and performance.
- Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of people resources within the company.
- Partner with leadership to assess leadership capability, development, succession planning, and retention.
- Identify training solutions for teams and associates.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
- 1-3 years of progressive work experience in Human Resources required.
- PHR (Professional in Human Resource) or equivalent certification desired.
- Knowledge of broad HR functional areas including associate relations, HR compliance and laws, compensation, learning and development, and recruiting desired.
- Previous experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze data to facilitate effective decision making.

The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
