We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and maintain our advanced Haas CNC lathes, in the Northwest Houston area. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up, and troubleshooting CNC lathes, specifically those equipped with Y-axis capabilities to produce high-quality, precision parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and maintain our advanced Haas CNC lathes, in the Northwest Houston area. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up, and troubleshooting CNC lathes, specifically those equipped with Y-axis capabilities to produce high-quality, precision parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Configure a Haas CNC lathe, including tool and fixture installation, and calibrate machine settings for accurate operation
- Interpret blueprints and other technical drawings to determine machining operation.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications.
- Oversee the CNC lathe during operation, ensuring proper function and performance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes, with proven experience in Haas machines equipped with Y-axis capabilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to proficiently read; Measuring Tapes, Micrometers and Dial Calipers.
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
