A large distributor is looking to add a dedicated and experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of diesel-powered vehicles in the Southwest Houston area. This is a 2nd or 3rd shift position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics.
WORK SCHEDULE IS 2:00PM - 10:30 PM or 10 PM - 6:30 AM
RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems in diesel trucks.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on diesel-powered delivery trucks and other fleet vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on repair status.
- Overhaul or replace worn or damaged parts using precision instruments, as well as power tools.
- Read blueprints/wiring diagrams to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to execute repairs.
- 2 years of related mechanical experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program or vocational school is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
- Bilingual is a plus.
