We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Precision Metal Shop Helper to assist in the production of high-precision metal components in the Northwest Houston area. This entry-level position involves supporting skilled machinists and operators in the preparation, handling, and finishing of metal parts to meet quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the deburring, cleaning, and finishing of precision metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Support machine operators with the loading, unloading, and preparation of materials for machining.
- Inspect parts for defects, measure dimensions, and ensure components meet specifications using calipers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and shop equipment.
- Must be willing to learn how to read dial calipers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools (e.g., grinders, sanders), and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers) is helpful.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus, but not required.
