As a Receiving QC Inspector, you will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of incoming metal to ensure it meets our specifications and quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and familiarity with metal materials, gauges, and testing methods.

As a Receiving QC Inspector, you will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of incoming metal to ensure it meets our specifications and quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and familiarity with metal materials, gauges, and testing methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect incoming shipments of bar stock metal (e.g., steel, aluminum, brass, etc.) for adherence to specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Measure and assess dimensions, surface quality, and overall integrity of metal using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams when discrepancies or defects are found and follow up on resolutions or returns.
- Ensure that all incoming materials are properly labeled, tagged, and logged into the inventory system.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, including measurements, and test results for each batch of materials received.
- Previous experience in a quality control or materials inspection role, preferably in a metalworking or manufacturing environment.
- Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, or other precision instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, purchase orders, and material certifications.
- Strong knowledge of metals and familiarity with different grades and alloys.
- Must have computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP)
