We are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy construction equipment, including John Deere excavators, dozers, motor graders, wheel loaders, compact rollers, forklifts, telehandlers, and manlifts. Candidates with prior experience working at a John Deere dealership are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and service to minimize downtime and maximize equipment longevity.
- Work with a wide range of equipment, including John Deere machinery and other construction equipment, to address mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Accurately document work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and equipment technologies
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in equipment repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong expertise in working with John Deere heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, motor graders, etc.).
- Prior experience with a John Deere dealership is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
