What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Manager position at AMERITEX PIPE & PRODUCTS LLC?
This role is responsible for leading and managing the Team Members and activities in the yard including patching, yarding, receiving of raw materials and the loading of finished goods to the trucks and routes. Ensures the different teams in yard function cohesively and meet the health & safety, quality and productivity procedures, processes according to the business standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Follows Safety Guideline and procedures set for this role.
- Does not operate any equipment, machinery, or tools if he/she has not been trained to operate.
- Follows the production/batch and shipping plan according to the daily plan.
- Communicates and escalates equipment failure or malfunction to the maintenance team immediately.
- Leads the team effectively by mentoring and training them to accomplish the department and business goals.
- Drives accountability with the assigned team (s) by modeling behavior and following the company values.
- Ensures the safety, productivity and quality of the patching, yard operations and shipping processes.
- Manages and coordinates the communication between the project managers, supply chain, purchasing and logistics teams to ensure the daily shipping plan is met.
- Follows the daily delivery and supply chain plan and allocates the resources to obtain the delivery plan on a safe and efficiently manner.
- Manages and plans labor resources to run the department (s) effectively.
- Approves daily and weekly labor reports and timesheets for the team members.
- Partners with the HR Department in addressing human capital and employment relations issues.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Department Lead, Supervisor, Manager, or a member of the Management Team.

EDUCATION
Bachelors or Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years of experience as a warehouse, supply chain or logistics manager in the construction or heavy manufacturing industry.
Monday- Friday 5am-5:30pm -weekend availability
