What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Spanish- Safety Coordinator position at Ameritex Pipe & Products?
This position is responsible for the execution of facility safety protocols. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for continuously monitoring and adapting safety procedures and operations to ensure that all employees work in a safe and fully compliant work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Assist with Safety and human resources protocols while maintaining team leadership
- Champions the communication and the AmeriTex culture at all levels of the manufacturing facility.
- Provides information to Production & Safety Manager regarding compliance with Federal and State OSHA regulations
- Complies, analyzes, and interprets statistical date, prepares reports for daily, weekly, and monthly safety activities
- Responsible for daily collection and recording of OSHA check lists for AmeriTex machinery
- Responsible for assisting of the Alchemy Training for facility.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Report safety and environmental issues to the Safety Manager
- Performs other duties assigned by the Department Lead, Supervisor, Manager, or a member of the Management Team.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA and applicable regulatory agencies.
EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of safety environmental experience
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
