What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Clerk position at Ameritex Pipe & Products?
The billing clerk performs general bookkeeping, data entry, maintaining records and invoices. This includes keeping track of customers debts and due payments٫ preparing invoices and updating records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Manages and prepares account balances to determine outstanding balances
- Issues invoices and other bills to customers through mail, e-mail etc.
- Prepares all information needed for bill receivable
- Issues customers account statements
- Manages customers’ accounts
- Assists customers with billing
- Prepares reports for executives and senior management
- Sends reminders for payments and contacting customers if need be
- Answers questions and handles complaints regarding bills from customers
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma.
- Degree in accounting or related field is a plus
EXPERIENCE
- Extensive knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Extensive mathematical skills
- 3 years of experience in the field.
- Familiar with relevant software such as Quickbooks
- Strong communication and organizational skills; accurate and detail oriented as well as the ability to communicate effectively with staff at various levels. Attention to detail and accuracy a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
