JOB OVERVIEW: Under direct supervision, the Escrow Assistant 1 provides administrative support to the Escrow Officer and team to facilitate the escrow process.

Key Responsibilities


Assists in preparing necessary documents and submissions for residential, national and/or commercial escrow transactions, as applicable.


Reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


Communicates with clients and other parties to ensure a smooth escrow process.


Maintains and updates records of all transactions and clients. Maintains accurate and organized files and documentation related to each escrow transaction.


Supports the Escrow Officer in all aspects of the escrow process.


Ensures all transactions are conducted in compliance with legal and company regulations.


Answers incoming phone calls, emails, greets customers, and places calls in a timely, professional manner with an emphasis on building customer relationships.


Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the escrow process.


Gathers accurate information, opens orders, initial file set up, deposit and disbursement of funds, written transmittals for funds and documents, handles reconveyances, pre-closing maintenance and post-closing follow-up on assigned files.


May provide transaction information to authorized persons and/or determine who can best provide and route the request.


May process completed loan packages including applicable conditions, copies and instructions.


Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications


Education:


High school diploma or equivalent required.


Experience:


1-2 years’ experience in an administrative or assistant role.


Skills:


  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams).
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate information relevant to job requirements.
