Plaistow-Kingston Animal Medical Center is looking for a full time experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team. We are a general practice that has provided state of the art veterinary care to our patients for decades. Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, and compassionate. The Veterinary Technician Supervisor should be comfortable in all aspects of veterinary patient care, from basic patient restraint to advanced anesthesia and surgical cases. Veterinary Technicians play a vital role in the success of our practice, as well as an integral role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and customer service to our clients.
The technician supervisor divides their time between on the floor technician duties and the implicit leadership role which identifies the incumbent as the supervisor, role model and “go to person” when technical issues need to be resolved. These issues may be related to training needs, inventory adjustments or management of personnel in the technician work group. The Technician Supervisor must be able to translate management’s vision (for the business side of Practice operations) into clear, concise actions that support management perspectives, guide technician staff to meet performance standards, and develop a relationship to other clinic members in an effort to support and solidify team coexistence and cohesiveness.
Preferred candidates will have experience in surgical and dental assistance, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, routine medical care, handling medical records, anesthesia, patient handling, and patient monitoring.
Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 based on experience
