About the Role: Director, Continuous Improvements
The Director of Continuous Improvements is responsible for leading all process improvement programs for field and hospital operations, focusing on team member impacts. This role ensures that team member productivity and experience are prioritized in the implementation of operational programs and initiatives. Additionally, the Director leads the annual business planning process for clinics and fields, including recommendations and approvals for performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
Lead annual business planning for clinic evaluation programs, managing the approval process, metric identification, KPIs, and supporting systems. Partner with Field leadership to develop and execute plans.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient processes and consistent customer/patient experiences.
Lead process improvements for programs and systems reaching the field, providing analysis, feedback, and recommending modifications.
Ensure operational programs minimize productivity issues for clinic employees and maximize team member engagement. Seek opportunities to improve productivity and ROI through technology and best practices.
Lead process improvement for performance review calculations, collaborating closely with Human Resources.
Ensure the implementation of operational programs does not create productivity issues for clinic team members, productivity, customer services, or profitability.
Accountable for protecting team member capacity.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of combined experience in operations, leadership, and/or support office operations.
Knowledge of clinic systems, processes, and integration tools to improve customer experience.
Experience developing strategic initiatives aligned with business goals and budgets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
College degree.
At least three years of experience in the veterinary industry.
Experience with project management and collaborating with internal and external resources to meet department goals within budget and timelines.
Experience translating strategic plans into actionable operations that drive profitability and enhance customer experiences.
Experience evaluating retail competitors' activities, consumer trends, and marketing effectiveness.
Management Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in direct leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
Travel Requirements:
Limited travel, at most 25%, including clinic visits across the country.
Fiscal/Budget Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets.
