As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Incident Response Security Engineer to join our team and help strengthen our security posture.
About the Role
As a Senior Security Engineer , you will be responsible for safeguarding AmeriVet's infrastructure, ensuring the security of our clinics and corporate systems, including responding to security incidents with efficiency and precision. This role requires a highly skilled security professional with deep expertise in CrowdStrike Falcon , endpoint security , SIEM and SOAR solutions , forensics , and incident response methodologies. You will play a critical role in managing the security standards and investigating security incidents, integrating log sources with CrowdStrike, and automating security processes using PowerShell and Python .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead incident response efforts , from initial detection to remediation, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Utilize CrowdStrike Falcon to monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats targeting AmeriVet's clinics and corporate infrastructure.
- Develop and implement SIEM and SOAR integrations to enhance security event detection and response automation.
- Perform forensic analysis of compromised endpoints and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Engineer and implement security automation solutions using PowerShell and Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Identify and integrate new log sources into existing security monitoring tools to improve visibility across the environment.
- Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams on security best practices, incident handling, and threat mitigation.
- Continuously analyze threat intelligence , identify trends, and develop proactive security measures.
- Work independently and take initiative in security investigations, collaborating with stakeholders across IT and leadership teams.
