We are currently seeing cats, dogs, pocket pets, and all reptiles (except venomous snakes).

We are seeking an organized, hard-working, compassionate, and service-oriented licensed veterinary technician or VTIT to join our team and provide assistance to our facility’s veterinarians. In this role, you will work directly with our animal patients, their owners, and our veterinary staff.
Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet animals in the exam room and perform an initial evaluation of their health
- Handle basic care duties, including cleaning and dressing wounds, administering medication, collecting samples, and checking vitals
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and lab work, including blood tests and analysis of urine samples
- Assist the veterinarian during surgeries and other procedures by sterilizing tools, stocking the exam and operating rooms, and confirming that equipment is all working properly
- Care for animals by feeding and watering, cleaning rooms and cages, and watching for signs of health problems
- Communicate with owners and families to inform and educate them about animal conditions and proper care
- Update patient files, review care plans, and handle other administrative duties as necessary
- Provide suggestions for continuing education for staff
- Clinical skills and an understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Interpersonal communication skills to communicate with owners and other veterinary staff
- Ability to prioritize and manage numerous different patient needs at one time
- Attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records
- Physical ability to restrain larger pets when necessary
- Willingness to take direction
- Veterinary Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
- Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Veterinary Technician Certification (Required)
- Must have graduated from an AVMA-accredited program and have a current and active license
Schedule:
- 10-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Saturday
