What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Hospital Technician position at Amery Hospital?
Amery Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join the team. As a MLT/MT, you will perform and evaluate routing and complex laboratory analysis in support of the medical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes; follow all laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient results; conduct oversight of the quality control and maintenance needed for the area/instruments, and ensure that any deviations are followed up on and documented.
Work Schedule: 0.9 FTE - approximately 36 hours a week
Thursday - Friday: Evening Shift 12:30pm - 9pm
Saturday and Sunday - 8 am - 8 pm
Monday - Wednesday: Evening Shift 12:30 - 9 pm
7-day schedule break
Rotating Holidays
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in medical technology from an accredited program and be eligible to sit for ASCP, NAACLS, or AMT registry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer minimum of 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital laboratory; demonstrated keyboarding skill and computer knowledge; previous training and/or usage of EPIC computer system a plus.
