Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a dedicated results-driven Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ames Copper Group in Canastota, NY.
About the Role
This is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the equipment in our facility, including all manufacturing process equipment, mechanical and electrical repairs, and the structure of the building and infrastructure.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.
- Define parts that need to be ordered after troubleshooting is complete.
- Maintain inventories of tools, spare parts, and consumable supplies.
- Requisition tools, spare parts, and consumable supplies.
- Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain repair or maintenance records.
- Ability to read and understand machine drawings, building prints, electrical and plumbing schematics.
- Develop preventative maintenance program for all equipment & facility related equipment.
- Perform equipment installations as required and defined by Engineering.
- Have experience in welding, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, and working with process controls.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and facility.
- Operation of forklift and scissor lift as required.

- 2 Year Technical School certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
