The Ames Middle School coaching staff is seeking for a 6th Grade Intramural Wrestling Coach.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00pm-5:30pm during the season.
Responsibilities:
- Instructs athletes about the fundamentals of wrestling.
- Attends all practices and has the ability to coach at an individual, small group and team level.
- Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
- Communicates effectively with coaching staff, student-athletes, parents and school administration.
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
- Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: A current Department of Education Coaching Authorization, concussion certification, and the ability to pass a background check are required. Click here for information on how to obtain Coaching Authorization:

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience coaching experience at the youth, middle school or high school level.
Compensation: $1,396 for the season
