Maintenance Controller

12 hour shifts. 4 days on, 4 days off schedule.
Overview
Are you ready to take your aviation maintenance expertise to the next level? We are seeking a dedicated to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and control maintenance operations on a shift basis, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable aircraft operations. Acting as the central point of contact for aircraft out-of-service events, you’ll oversee the mechanical status of our fleet and coordinate essential maintenance activities with various stakeholders. In this role, you will work entirely with our Boeing fleet, so Boeing aircraft maintenance control experience is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance activities, tooling, and parts support with vendors and internal departments.
- Monitor and manage repair activities for engine/aircraft repairs that exceed contract vendor capabilities.
- Collaborate with Line Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments on technical issues.
- Develop and implement repair action plans and ensure timely completion.
- Exercise authority to remove aircraft from service if maintenance standards are not met.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel and offer consultation on procedural matters.
- Investigate and complete SDR reports in coordination with the FAA liaison.
- Identify chronic aircraft issues and develop action plans for resolution.
- Maintain detailed shift turnover logs and ensure seamless communication between shifts.
- Occasionally travel with aircraft to gather additional information on mechanical issues.
- Train and mentor new Maintenance Control Specialists.
Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.
- Minimum 5 years of airline industry experience, preferably with wide-body Boeing aircraft.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrate passion for excellence, and uphold company values.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, structural repair manuals, maintenance manuals, and illustrated parts catalogs.
- At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Windows-based software applications.
