Paraprofessional - Long Term Sub

Seeking an individual able to work with an alternative population in a small high school setting. This position requires assisting teachers in the classroom with a wide range of student need, both academic and behavioral. The individual must have the ability to collaborate with teachers regarding student progress academically and provide individualized instruction at the high school level. Teaching and Learning • Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of special education and classroom teachers • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for the students and monitor their progress • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff and students • Flexibility to adjust to different issues with students • Ability to assist and help students with their academic and non-academic issues to enable them to fully participate in learning • Assist students in developing appropriate social skills • Provide small group and one-on-one in all high school subject areas • Ability to work with students who have experienced significant trauma Schedule: 7:30am - 2:30pm, Monday-Friday
