Job Description Outpatient Therapist / Contract
Summary
Private outpatient clinical practice is seeking a contract NC licensed therapist. Outpatient Therapists are responsible for providing outpatient therapy to clients with an emphasis on completing comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up therapy for children/adolescents and families. The ideal candidate is flexible to serve clients in the office, home, and community settings, is a Medicaid approved provider, and eligible to join additional private insurance panels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes mental health assessments and treatment plans of clients.
- Provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy implementing goal specific and measurable treatment plans.
- Provides urgent care and crisis intervention as indicated.
- Consults regularly w/ clinical team members on member care.
- Communicates w/ Behavioral Health colleagues, Primary Care providers, and other providers and agencies as needed to facilitate integrative care.
- Prepares and submits documentation of services within 24 hours of service delivery.
- Participates in staff development meetings and in quality of care activities on a regular basis.
- Manages insurance panel and practice management within departmental guidelines.
- Assess progress toward goals of individuals served, coordinating supports and resources, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Competency
- Ability to update comprehensive clinical assessments as needed
- Experience serving children/adolescents and adults with DSM-V diagnosis (mental health needs) and their families.

- Competence in written and oral communications, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and literacy.
- Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities.

- Demonstrate ability in working collaboratively with professional colleagues, local and state officials, referral sources and community groups.
Preferred Experience
- Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHC)
- Family Therapy (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS)
- Associate License: LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LCASA
- Strong Assessment & Diagnostic Skills
- 1 year of experience providing urgent care or crisis intervention required
- 2 year of experience providing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) required.

- Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)
Education Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Service-related field required.
- 2 years of Post Master's clinical experience in mental health required.
Additional Requirements
- Associate level clinicians are required to obtain a supervision contract
- Request for a National Provider Identification (NPI)
- Completed NC Tracks Application
- Completed CAQH Application
- Obtain liability insurance with adequate with malpractice coverage
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 , DOE
Post Master's Counseling: 2 years
