Our office is currently seeking a front desk administrator to join our team. We are an easy going and quiet dental office with the goal to provide the best experience for our patients. Therefore, the ideal candidate is pleasant, outgoing, and a team player. While we are willing to train the right candidate, experience in a dental or medical setting is preferred.
The position entails greeting patients, checking patients in and out, answering the phone to book appointments, overseeing the schedule, taking and posting payments, submitting insurance claims, and assisting with other administrative duties.
Dental Office Front Desk Administrator Job Duties:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone
- Answers all patient and referral calls, text messages, and voicemails in a timely manner
- Opens and closes clinic
- Schedules clinic according to clinic protocols
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Notifying providers when a patient arrives to keep the appointments on schedule
- Provides comfort to patients by answering questions and maintaining the reception area
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records including updating correspondence and referrals
- Ensures patients’ medical history is updated
- Helps patient understand pretreatment estimates
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information at every visit by verifying in the dental software.
- Records and updates financial information while monitoring any balances due
- Maintains business office inventory and equipment
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Copies, scans, faxes, and files as needed.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing all goals for patient satisfaction and production
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and teeth numbers
- Understanding of general workflow for common dental scenarios, and their corresponding dental codes/terminology/teeth numbers, etc.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well organized and reliable

Schedule:
- Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm and Thursday 7:30 am - 2:30 pm
- No weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 33 – 38 per week
