Job Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President of Business Development (VP BD), the Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) Manager develops and oversees comprehensive marketing and communication strategies, plans, and campaigns to promote the company's brand and products, while also managing budgets and measuring results. The MARCOM Manager will maintain Ametrine’s brand integrity and strategically position the organization as a trusted partner for the military. This role requires high emotional intelligence and relationship management, logical reasoning, and problem solving in a rapidly changing environment.


Job Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement marketing and communication strategies aligned with business goals. 
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., digital, social media, email, events). 
  • Content Creation: Develop and oversee the creation of engaging and informative content for various platforms. 
  • Design and Create: Original content/copy for fact sheets, brochures, articles, newsletters, speaker remarks, and other internal or external communications.
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing and communications budgets effectively. 
  • Performance Measurement: Track and analyze campaign performance, identify areas for improvement, and report on key metrics. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and customers. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on our industry’s trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing and communications. 
  • Public Relations: Develop and implement public relations strategies to build brand awareness and reputation. 
  • Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans.
  • Website Management: Maintain and update the company’s website.
  • Ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify customer needs and produce marketing collateral accordance with Ametrine brand and quality.
  • Prepare creative briefings for concept development and creative expression; deliver presentations of creative work to clients.
  • Monitor news and media presence; monitor and track analytics of website and digital traffic.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on similar industry activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
  • Oversee the development, management and maintenance of all online communication channels.
  • Monitor and communicate the status of tactical campaign implementation with management.
  • Use excellent writing and editing skills to prepare and/or oversee a wide range of communications content, including announcements, reports, internal memos, email newsletters, presentations, speeches, infographics, videos, and social media content.

 Required Background and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree - Preference in Marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, business administration or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience including management of corporate communications, original writing, editing and some public relations. OR--Five years of direct work experience in a marketing management capacity.
  • Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in internet marketing techniques, technologies, and solutions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with document creation software, presentation software, spreadsheets, and photo and video editing software, preferred.
  • Familiarity with website design, preferred.
  • Graphic design experience and the ability to create promotional materials
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to think critically when facing complex relational, technical and field use problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly utilizing interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with other department leads and facility stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of various news media and their requirements for effective communications.
  • Proficiency with relevant desktop publishing and video editing software and tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, etc.

This position is primarily office-based; however, the role also involves occasional fieldwork. The physical demands for this role include the ability to:

  • Work in an indoor office setting and out in the field both indoors and outdoors,
  • Sit or stand for extended periods,
  • Occasionally bend, stoop, and kneel,
  • Frequently view a computer screen,
  • See for reading, writing, and preparing documents,
  • Hear and speak to communicate in person, in groups, and over the phone, and
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Other Requirements

  • Must be US Citizen (per US government contracts).
  • US security clearance preferred; ability to obtain upon employment is required.
  • May require domestic and/or international travel ( 30%).
  • Work hours 8am-5pm, Monday thru Friday, some evenings required.
