As Wayfair scales rapidly over the next few years, the need to build best in class processes and tools for our associates and customers also grows! As a Business Operations associate, you will play a key role in developing solutions to foundational processes that will help our stores run more efficiently and effectively. You will help with the day-to-day direction and support to cross functional teams within the retail, product, and engineering teams. This role serves as a key partner to the Sr. Manager of Process Engineering as we work together to evolve our working processes that are dependent on our current app platform.
What You’ll Do
- Assist store teams by troubleshooting operational issues, resolving support tickets, and escalating technical concerns as needed.
- Collaborate with store associates, management, and cross-functional partners to identify operational challenges and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of store operations, tools, and workflows through hands-on experience and communication with store teams.
- Support the creation and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials to help associates adapt to new tools and processes.
- Work alongside the Implementation Team to conduct time studies and analyze store pilot programs, contributing to the refinement of key systems and workflows.
- Build and maintain dashboards to track store performance metrics, tool adoption, and process efficiencies, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure store-level feedback is represented in discussions around new tools and operational strategies.
- Assist in balancing immediate store needs with long-term process improvements to support overall retail growth and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Retail Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience in retail / store operations).
- 1 years professional work experience in business planning, organization and process management, process improvement, marketing or operations
- Requires up to 25% domestic travel to the various store locations in Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, Texas and beyond
- Familiarity with retail workflows, store processes, and operational challenges.
- Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and engage with other stakeholders across multiple teams to accomplish what needs to be done in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Technical acumen to learn necessary software; SQL experience is a plus.
- Experience with Google Cloud G Suite, including Docs, Sheets, Slides and forms preferred.
