The Fintech & Loyalty - Fraud & Pay team at Wayfair pioneers cutting-edge fraud technology and mission-critical payment systems. The team’s mission is to provide a reliable, secure, and scalable platform that enables Wayfair to offer the widest range of payment options to our customers through a world-class, frictionless experience. Our goal is to move fast, deliver value iteratively, while ensuring stability and correctness. What You Will Do :
- Flex your strength and knowledge on Java, DevOps, and microservice development.
- Define and ensure services are built to industry best practices, including observability, architectural patterns, and inter-team dependency mechanisms (like SLOs)
- Drive high-impact solutions at a team level, including inception, design, execution, and delivery following good design and coding practices
- Write code to implement high-quality, scalable, future-proof services that will have effective system boundaries and will support long-term vision & strategy
- Participate in technical debates within and across teams to help come to durable documented conclusions
- Work closely with architects and other teams across Storefront to breakdown an existing PHP monolith into well defined Java Microservices with clean boundaries and clear API contracts
- Identify risks and gaps in technical approaches and propose solutions to meet the team’s technical vision
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and peer engineering teams to define project requirements and execution plans
