Position Summary :

Provide engineering design for AMF Bakery System's products. This includes current standard machines / systems, custom products, legacy products and sales support. This position is responsible for hardware design for machine for assigned AMF projects. Working in conjunction with the Controls Specialist to issue, maintain, and update project related documentation. Responsibilities include BOM completion, all drafting, installation support, and project scope.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

The majority of workload in engineering consists of the following but is not limited to the following all of which need to be clear, complete and concise :

• For projects assigned, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible from concept to completion. The design and components are to be in accordance with AMF Standards.
• Machine design package including all CAD details and component drawings.
• Assemble complete and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the Machine / System design.
• Design and develop Machine / System in accordance to AMF and Customer Specifications and Scope of Work.
• Design and develop Machine / Systems per solutions outlined by applications and or sales.

R&D / VAVE / SDP 10%

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

Supervision Received :

This position reports directly to the Senior Engineer. This position works with minimal to moderate amount of supervision.

Supervision Given :

This position does not directly supervise others. However, it does provide guidance and engineering direction to Engineers, Controls Specialists, Assembly, Field Service and Sales.

Minimum Education Level :

This position requires a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field. A combination of an AA degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree .
